The third FNHC Parish Wellness Roadshow is taking place at St Brelade's Parish Hall on Wednesday 9th March between 2.30 and 5.30pm. FNHC community nurses will be on hand to offer advice on a range of issues such as health eating, smoking cessation, breastfeeding and other tips relating to health promotion and illness prevention. Attendees will also be able to receive basic health checks and learn about what services are available to Islanders through the charity.
‘We have organised the FNHC Parish Wellness Roadshows to get out in to the community and talk to people about the variety of services we provide,’ said FNHC Fundraising Manager, Ivo Le Maistre Smith.
‘Not many people know that we are the largest charity provider of health and community care in the Island, or that we have dedicated teams trained in health visiting, school and children’s nursing, district and specialist nursing, as well as home care and palliative care. We are hoping that people will be able to take 15 minutes out of their working day to come along and find out more about the services we offer as a charity,’ he added.
The event is free to attend and no pre-registration is required. St Brelade's WI have very kindly agreed to help us provide complimentary teas, coffees and light refreshments which will be available throughout the afternoon.
