The new English plastic £5 note entered circulation last week and the first ones have started to arrive in Jersey.
There is a growing trend on social media for people to donate the first plastic £5 note they receive to charity.
Family Nursing & Home Care are asking Islanders to donate their first fiver to FNHC to fund 10 minutes of respite care for families of children with short lives. You can hand your £5 in to FHNC at Le Bas Centre on St Saviours road or else keep the physical note and donate £5 online at fnhc.org.je
The charity is asking Islanders to post, email, tweet or share in any way they can the simple message below. And to ask their friends and family to do the same.
Any help you can give would really help build momentum for the idea.
