Community Staff Nurse – Grade 4

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Professional Adult Nursing Team providing care for a diverse range of needs to islanders in their own homes. This role operates across a range of clinical areas within Family Nursing & Home Care and your caseload will include complex or high risk patients.

hours: 37.5 hours per week - working flexibly on a rota over 7 days including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

salary: Grade 4 - £48,986.64 to £55,293.84 depending on experience

criteria: You will be a 1st level Registered Nurse / Registered Mid-Wife with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience. Own transport is essential and you must be flexible to work on a 7 day rota between 08.00 - 24.00

You will be able to demonstrate proficiency in performing investigations, treatment and health needs assessment for patients within your caseload in accordance with defined standards and maintain accurate and timely patient held records, producing high quality patient information.

Applicants will have excellent communication and assessment skills.  You must be able to work without direct supervision following a supported induction period and be adaptable, flexible and willing to work within a changing health care environment.   Previous community nursing experience is not essential.

Essentially you will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the guidelines of the NMC and Code of Conduct and Scope of Professional Practice and apply these to maintain trust and credibility with patients, carers and colleagues.  The successful applicant will keep fully up to date with developments within their own professional discipline and maintain an adequate awareness of developments in clinical and nursing practice and share clinical knowledge and experience.

You will maintain a professional portfolio which demonstrates the continuing   acquisition of skills, knowledge, attitudes, understanding and achievement.
