Community Staff Nurse – Grade 4

This role operates across a range of clinical areas within Family Nursing & Home Care. Individuals at this level will be able to plan and deliver care for a range of needs including complex or high risk patients within their caseload with the guidance and support of the Community Qualified Nurse. They may be required to act across for the Community Qualified Nurse and will be able to lead with confidence.

hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week to be worked across a 7 day week service on a rota basis

salary: £45,400 - £51,245 per annum

criteria: We are looking for a dynamic, motivated staff nurse who is willing to extend their skills and practice without direct supervision to join our nursing teams, which are led by the District Nurse Team Leader. You will be working across the island delivering high quality care to a diverse caseload. The service operates 7 days a week from 08.30hrs -24.00hrs.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Adult Nursing Service.

Applicants must have excellent communication and assessment skills.  You must be able to work without direct supervision following a supported induction period and be adaptable, flexible and willing to work within a changing health care environment.  An understanding and knowledge of the current drive to transform community services is an essential requirement.  Previous community nursing experience is not essential.

Weekend, Bank Holiday and the ability to work flexible hours is essential.

We offer opportunities to develop both clinical and professional skills to effectively care for patients in their own homes and support personal development through the annual appraisal process, supervision and training.

Access to vehicle to enable you to undertake the job is essential.  The vehicle will need to be insured for business use.

Essentially you will be a 1st Level Registered Nurse/Midwife with a minimum 2 years post qualifying experience.

You will be able to show evidence of on-going training and development and evidence based practice.

You will have excellent time management, communication and report writing skills and essentially be able to work in accordance with FNHC’s values and demonstrate our required behaviours.
