Head of Fundraising

The main purpose of this exciting opportunity will be to establish diversified income streams maximise the charity’s flexibility to meet its key goals. The role-holder will be responsible for implementing an agreed fundraising strategy for Family Nursing & Home Care, working with the Senior Leadership Team and others to grow traditional and innovative income streams that comply with Fundraising Regulations and establish a long-term plan for the development of Family Nursing and Home Care’s brand. A core part of this will be driving the stewardship strategy and overseeing the supporter journey at every level to create a long term, sustainable fundraising model.

hours: 37 per week - This is a full time role but applications welcome from candidates looking for part time or job share

criteria: You will have a professional qualification or equivalent in fundraising with a proven background in leading successful fundraising programmes. You will be a Strategic thinker with an appreciation of the challenges and opportunities facing locally based charities (especially in the health-care sector)

This is  an exciting opportunity to join Family Nursing and Home Care as Head of Fundraising.

The main purpose of this role  will be to establish diversified income streams maximise the charity’s flexibility to meet its key goals. The role-holder will develop opportunities of key events and campaigns throughout the year to raise funds from a wide variety of sources such as, corporate entities, events & online fundraising.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, motivate and coach the fundraising staff to be innovative in their approach to fundraising.
  • Develop and deepen existing donor relationships ensuring that FNHC maintains effective communication and relationships and are updated on pur work and impact.
  • Grow income to support health and care developments for FNHC patients and clients.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to develop outcome focused performance measures and reporting systems to monitor performance across the income generation portfolio and ensure income targets are met.
  • Lead the development and implementation within the team to establish strategies to maximise activities and investment necessary to develop sustainable income streams.
  • Work closely with the Charity’s communications provider to create marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Work with the Charity’s communications support to improve the public’s understanding of the impact a donation to FNHC can make.
  • Establish collaborative ways of working with the clinical teams to provide the basis for the family’s stories / case studies to encourage donations.
  • Work closely with the fundraising team to establish a portfolio of broad based corporate partnerships and community groups that provide sustainable income from a calendar of events.
  • Work closely with the SLT and members of the senior management to provide leadership, development and implementation of the strategic plans of the charity.
  • Work with the SLT to set and manage income and expenditure budgets.
  • Developing, monitoring and evaluating income, expenditure and activity plans to provide reports on progress for the Committee members.
  • Follow FNHC’s policies and procedures and comply with the Charity Commission regulations, Jersey Care Commission and Fundraising Regulator code of practices.
  • Strive to build outstanding supporter stewardship and encourage the teams to develop long-term working relationships with all supporters.
  • Provide vision and motivational leadership in line with FNHC’s values. Support the positive, integrated and engaged culture within the organisation.
  • Ensuring that all fundraising is commercially focused, outward looking and responsive to changing market conditions.
  • Represent Family Nursing and Home Care at external events as necessary.
