Practice Development Role – Adult Nursing

Family Nursing & Home Care is at the forefront of developing innovative, patient focussed out of hospital services. We proactively support the transfer of acute and long-term care from secondary to primary care. The Practice Development Nurse will support our Adult Nursing services to continue to develop skills and expertise to deliver safe, effective out of hospital care.

hours: 37.5 hours per week

salary: £60,350 - £64,137 - Grade 6

criteria: This role will support the development of specialist services within FNHC to ensure our patients benefit from innovative services that enables them to live well.

Role details

We are seeking an outstanding practitioner who recognises and will enjoy the challenges this varied role offers. The role supports the development of skills, expertise and services that support staff and patients.

This position demands a high standard of clinical expertise in delivering care in the home including end of life care, acute home based nursing and complex health and care needs.

Experience in developing services and an ability to consider working in different ways and forging partnerships with other health and care professionals on the island is key to this role.

Essential Qualifications are:

  • 1st level Registered Nurse
  • 1st Degree in a Health related field
  • Teaching/mentorship award or qualification
  • Experience in Community Nursing

We would expect that the right candidate would currently be undertaking or would undertake Advanced Masters level study to further enhance their knowledge, experience and clinical credibility.
