At FNHC we are hosting our annual healthcare conference on Thursday 15 June at the Pomme d’Or hotel. This year, the conference is focussed on “Ageing Well: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions”.

FNHC’s ethos is to help islanders start well, live well and age well and we want to reinforce the role and responsibility of healthcare providers in Jersey to support Islanders to both live and age well.

This year’s Conference is for anyone who provides support and care for Islanders.  If you have an interest in the concept of ageing well and how you can influence and promote improved outcomes for our ageing community, this event is for you.

FNHC has engaged a range of guest speakers and providers to highlight and explore the latest research to ensure we are enabling our island population to age well. Our conference speakers include:

  • Dr Anna Dixon – Strategy, governance and policy consultant
  • Professor Peter Bradley – Director of Public Health
  • Stephanie Craig – PhD Researcher and Registered Nurse
  • Ann Morgan – Frailty and Falls Specialist Nurse
  • Roy Lilley – former NHS Trust chairman and health policy analyst, writer, broadcaster and commentator

Workshops include:

  • Paul Simmonds from Age Concern Jersey
  • Vic Tanner Davy from Liberate
  • Dr Patricia Tumelty from MIND
  • Speaker TBC from Jersey Sport
