Sophie Watkins Committee Member

Sophie is an experienced and effective project leader and public sector policy professional. She has wide experience in financial services consumer protection, both in the UK and all three Crown Dependencies.

Her most recent role was in the Economics unit within Government of Jersey and she has proven ability to develop and deliver policy and legislation from initial concept to effective implementation. She played a key role in the development and establishment of the Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman, with its framework of two primary laws and multiple secondary legislation in Jersey and in Guernsey.
