Our annual Family Nursing and Home Care Colour Festival was back with a (colourful) bang last weekend! After a two year hiatus, we were back on the beach, warming up with Funktion Fitness then over 900 participants took off down the 5km course where they were showered with vibrant (environmentally friendly) coloured powdered paint. We certainly brought colourful fun to the local community!
All money from the Colour Festival funds our Paediatric Palliative Care Worker (PPCW). This role, which provides respite for families with life limiting and life threatening illnesses, allows children to achieve their goals and have the same experiences as others whenever possible. We embrace the emotional, physical and social aspects of the life of a child with additional needs and do our absolute best to enhance and maximise the quality of life for both the child and their family.
By taking part in the Colour Festival, participants enabled the terrific work that FNHC does to support Jersey families through respite and hospital visits, providing continuous charitable and emotional support.
FNHC CEO Rosemarie Finley commented:
“The Family Nursing and Home Care (FNHC) Colour Festival is our flagship fundraising event and we could not be more proud of what we achieved this year. We are hugely thankful to our sponsors Jersey Electricity, Jersey Freemasons, Snap, Stonehage Fleming, Dandara and Appleby for their continued support. We also would like to thank everyone who took part; you have played an important role in your local community and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you.”
