Community Children’s Nurse – Grade 4

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Nurse to join our friendly and progressive community children’s nursing team (CCNT). The post sits in a well-established CCNT that delivers acute, ambulatory and chronic complex care to children and their families living in Jersey. We are looking for an experienced children’s nurse preferably with experience in community nursing. The successful applicant needs to be enthusiastic and motivated with excellent communication, organisational and team working skills.

hours: 37.5 per week, Mon - Fri

salary: Grade 4 - £55,021.79 - £62,106.04 depending on experience

criteria: You will have a Registered Children's Nursing Qualification (Degree/Diploma) with a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience, with children's nursing experience in the last 12 months. Own transport is essential

Role details

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Children’s Nurse to utilise leadership and clinical knowledge. The successful applicant will be required to ensure the CCNT continue to provide high quality, evidenced based nursing care to children in the community, support children who have a package of care, families on the Palliative Care Pathway and children and young people attending Mont a l’Abbé School who have a nursing need.

Key Accountabilities include:
Risk Management
• You will contribute to maintaining effective risk management to enhance safety of children, families and colleagues and adopt a culture of openness, reporting incidents and evidence learning and implementation of appropriate actions as indicted.

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults
• The successful applicant will learn to be be familiar with and comply with Family Nursing and Home Care safeguarding policies and procedures. You will take responsibility for the safeguarding and welfare of all children, adults and/or families within your care and conduct and must be familiar with the signs and symptoms of abuse and know what to do if any such concerns are raised or are identified.
• You may be required to assist with MASH information gathering and will be required to attend safeguarding meetings and submit reports as required
