This course is aimed at Health Care Assistants (HCA’s) working in adult social care, to improve safety and care for patients with indwelling urinary catheters

By the end of the session learners will be able to:
- Label a diagram of a male and female urinary system
- Identify conditions why a catheter may be inserted
- List different types of catheter
- Explain the importance of preventing infection
- Practice safe catheter care
