What is covered?
This course is aimed at Health Care Assistants working in adult social care with the aim to increase confidence and knowledge in care of patients with enteral feeding.
Attendees must have or be working towards a RQF Medication module
Course Content
By the end of the session, the learner will be able to:
- Understand the Gastro Intestinal Tract
- Discuss different Gastrostomy Tubes
- Discuss Gastrostomy Feeding
- Troubleshooting
- Practical – Flushing , bolus feeding , pump feeding , advancing and rotating
